Book Summary:
In order to Live: A North Korean Girl's Journey to Freedom is a book written by Yeonmi Park to describe her escaping from North Korea for freedom. Yeonmi Park shares her living in North Korea, China, and new life in South Korea. In North Korea, Yeonmi Park reveals the poverty environment in North Korea which is suffering and torturing due to the dictatorship system implemented by Great Leader. In the country, Songbun status is a society classification level in North Korea and the higher level of Songbun, the better living you will enjoy and the lower level of Songbun status, the tougher living you will face.

Due to the poverty and tough condition in North Korea, Yeonmi and her parents decided escape to China. Although the living in China is not so suffering as compared to North Korea, but due to human trafficking, the writer almost prostituted by the China broker. In order to survive in China, the writer and her parents has adapted themselves in China with the help of smuggler, Hongwei. Unfortunately, the writer has lost her father due to cancer disease. Her sister also being separated from Yeonmi while escaping from North Korea.

Lastly, due to crackdown human trafficking from Chinese government in China, Yeonmi decided to start her new living in South Korea by escaping to Mongolia. In South Korea, Yeonmi has gained education, learned new language, and adapted herself in the country by spending time and effort to catch up a lot of new things which is important for her future. Through "Now on my way," a Korean show, Yeonmi has step out to share her difficulty living in North Korea. Although it has gained a lot of negative critics from people, she still keep her persistence to deliver her message about human right. In parenthesis, she also gained a great new that her sister has found out in South Korea. Currently, Yeonmi has published her own book to deliver her messages about her living in North Korea and further her study in Columbia University.

My thoughts:
I have spent 6 months to read this book. I admired about her brave, persistence, kindness, and independent along her journey to freedom. After I read this book, the leader of the country is playing an important role in developing the political, economic, social, and technological environment of the country. This is because the future vision of a leader will give a big impact for the living of the nations in the country. Otherwise, people in the country will live in poverty and suffering condition. Meanwhile, believe yourself in living can push yourself to the success level. Because of "can-do" attitude from Yeonmi, she has successfully published her book, living in South Korea, further study in university, and deliver her speech about living in North Korea globally. Hence, problem is temporarily, it is totally depends on us to define it and then find solution to neutralize the problem. Finally, form a peaceful and harmony country should be started from us to leader so that it can bring positive development to the country in the long run.
