Sungai Pisang Waterfall

Two weeks ago, my friends and I went to Sungai Pisang Waterfall. It is located at Gombak, Selangor. This is one of the preferred destination for people who like to hiking, picnic, or camping because of its cool and peace natural environment. My friends and I have reached the location around 9 am, we start to hiking to waterfall once we have taken our food and equipment. The parking fees at Sungai Pisang Waterfall is RM5.00

Luckily, the weather is sunny on that day. In order to reach the waterfall, we have to walk over river, forest and climb over hills. This is also my first time hiking at Sungai Pisang Waterfall as well.

Due to lock down duration previously, the direction to waterfall is already full of weeds and need to wear long stretchable pants in order to avoid get hurt by weeds.

When walking along the river, you can see that there are a lot of people picnic there with friends or family. The river is clean and cold.

Along the alley, you can see the weeds growing nearby and need to be careful in order to avoid bitten by insects.

Most of the people will take photo in front of the tunnel because it shows that you are hiking to Sungai Pisang Waterfall before. There is no light while you are walking through the tunnel, you have to use torchlight to walk through the tunnel if the weather is cloudy.

Owing to one of my friend know the direction to waterfall, we have taken 45 minutes to reach the waterfall successfully. Around the waterfall, it is crowded with people picnic over there and enjoy the cold breeze from the waterfall. We stay over there for a while and use camp stove to prepare some foods and warm drinks as breakfast at the same time.

The view of the waterfall is nice and beautiful. After we have finished up our own foods, my friends and I pack up our own stuff and back to our origin destination smoothly. Few things need to take note if you are going to have short jungle experience at Sungai Pisang Waterfall and as follow:

1. There are no toilet facilities around the waterfall, because toilet facilities are around the origin destination only
2. Bring mosquito repellent and sun block lotion
3. Bring a packet of salt because got leeches there
4. You are suggested to wear rubber shoes because you have to walk through rivers and mud
5. Make sure your hiking tools are fully equipped such as camp stove, foods, water, torchlight, and so on before hiking because it is hard for you return back to origin destination in order to take your missing stuff
6. Make sure your mobile phone and power bank is fully charged
7. You are suggested to follow with a group of people or your friends who know the direction to waterfall in order to avoid getting lost
8. Safety first. Walk slowly and carefully
9. Don't throw rubbish around the waterfall environment

Last but not least, it is strongly recommended for the people who like to hiking, picnic, team building activities and like to view green natural environment to travel Sungai Waterfall to enjoy short jungle experience!
